When an OKX stablecoin network is under maintenance: choosing an alternative safely
Stablecoin deposits and withdrawals on a given network are sometimes paused for upgrades or congestion. How Swiss OKX users can read the notice, avoid sending during maintenance and pick an alternative network that the destination supports.
OKX | Switzerland | CHF | fees, access and account safety
Stablecoins move on several networks, and each network occasionally needs maintenance, upgrades or a pause during heavy congestion. When that happens, OKX may suspend deposits or withdrawals for that network while keeping others open. Most users only notice when the option they always use is greyed out. The temptation is to pick the next network in the list and send. That can work, but only if the destination supports the same stablecoin on that network. This guide explains how to read maintenance notices, what to do with transfers already sent and how to choose an alternative without creating a new problem.
Read the notice before acting
OKX publishes announcements about network maintenance, wallet upgrades and suspensions, and the deposit or withdrawal page usually shows a warning for the affected network. Read the notice for the expected timing and whether deposits, withdrawals or both are affected. If the pause is short and your transfer is not urgent, waiting is often the simplest and safest option.
Never deposit on a suspended network
If deposits on a network are suspended, do not send funds to your OKX address on that network from another platform or wallet, even if the sending side allows it. Funds sent during a suspension may be credited only after the maintenance ends, and in some cases may need support to resolve. Check the deposit page at the moment you send, not an hour earlier.
Choose an alternative network carefully
If you need to move funds now, look at the destination first. Confirm that it accepts the same stablecoin on the alternative network, with the matching token contract, and copy the destination address for that specific network. Then select the same network on OKX. Check the current withdrawal fee and minimum on the official OKX fee page. For a first transfer on a network you rarely use, send a small test amount.
If a transfer was already in flight
If you sent a transfer just before the suspension, note the transaction ID and check it in a block explorer. If it is confirmed on chain but not credited, wait until the maintenance ends, then contact support with the ID, network and address if it still does not appear. Avoid sending a second transfer to compensate, which only doubles the amount in limbo.

- Read the OKX maintenance notice for timing and which directions are affected before acting.
- Check the deposit page at the moment you send and never deposit on a suspended network.
- Confirm the destination supports the same stablecoin and contract on the alternative network.
- Keep the transaction ID and wait for maintenance to end before contacting support about a transfer.
